BOA on numerous occasions has demonstrated a fixation on rules, not common sense that get in [-] way of efficient customer oriented banking. This morning a gal I had written a check to presented it to a teller in [-] N Windham branch that knows [-].(I am in [-] for [-] [-])Apparently [-] first effort at 2023 checks inverted [-] 2 and three and hence read 2032.Shouldn’t be a big problem if common sense was in play as I told [-] teller just correct [-] date. [-] in mind [-] teller knows she’s talking to [-] author of [-] check. But Nooo, in BOA’sworld, [-] rules [-]’t allow that simple solution. Remember I’m in [-].They mumbled something about can’t [-] [-] altered check.Apparently even if they’re talking to its author.
In other words common sense and customer service be damned, they’re in full CYA mode.
Now this is [-] same bank that should I write a VERY LARGE check quickly texts [-] to verify it and then moves on, but can’t cya themselves on a [-] check written to a woman who desperately needs [-] funds. Nope. [-] [-] with her. Let her wait a week for [-] Post Office to deliver a [-] check.
Can you say, stubborn, stupid, inflexible and customer be damned. That would be [-] BOA branch and it’s manager in N. Windham Maine
