Horrific experience! I was [-] victim of fraud in [-], I filed 3 separate fraud packets ( one check was stolen from a [-] [-] box, washed and used 3x) I also filed a police report. Since [-] 17,2022 I have been waiting for [-] money to be refunded. I realize that $52,000 is not a great amount to 5/3; but to a 69 yo retiree is a life time savings. Dealing with [-] Dispute Resolution Department has been a nightmare, all they tell [-] is that they are waiting for [-] Bank (checks were deposited at their bank) I spoke with a representative at [-] that tells [-] that [-] bank needs to be contacting them to resolve this problem. I have experienced a lot of frustration dealing with 5/3.
[-] can a person [-] [-] account but not be able to [-] [-] account? Calls for help both in [-] local branch and their 800 help [-] have not helped and each time that fails we are told that [-] account is locked for 7 days and try again at that time. Worst bank we have EVER had in 50 plus years and worse customer service EVER.
I had a [-] [-] thru 3/5 bank After payoff, [-] Bank completely messed up [-] receiving of paperwork, refunds, and [-] title. You can't call this Bank without first speaking with someone in [-] Philippines, so to find [-] actual answer I was passed around many times.. I was lied to by Amar in [-] [-] department, and at this point am not sure when or if I [-] ever see [-] title to [-] Vehicle. Very frustrating experience.
Worst Customer Service I have experienced since dealing with Spectrum Cable. When you call you [-] immediately to being on hold, [-] music is awful. And no one ever answers. You call Corporate and [-] [-] says, "No one is available. Please try your call later. Oh [-] I [-] they sell [-] mortgage. I wouldn't give them one [-] but it's [-] least option there is.
You have nothing but people whose first language is NOT English answering your phones and they are not able to help with any type of questions. Customer Service is impossible to speak with because of some health issue in this country. What health issue?
40 years [-] mother has been with you bank. se has ad thousands of dollars scammed from her account and yet your people made her feel like criminal and she closed accounts over 100,000 I [-] you are proud and other banks wolcome her 100,000 plus
Customer Service was very poor. I called and discussed 6 or 7 times with your representatives. Problem was I couldn't receive a text on [-] cell to get [-] one time codes, etc. I also visited a branch here in Indianapolis. [-] Customer Service reps seemed to be stuck on their "this is what you [-] [-]" and after multiple times trying, I was informed that I needed to wait another 14 days to reset or whatever. There was no explanation, but I assume [-] online [-] was locked due to [-] excess number of attempts. I have been with Fifth Third for many years and this lack of service is unacceptable. I [-] attempt one more visit to a branch. It is highly probable that I [-] terminate [-] account with your bank due to [-] aforementioned. This is really irritating as I [-] have to [-] a considerable amount of work with [-] [-] pays, [-] checking, cards, etc.

I’ve been a member of Fifth Third for over 15 years now and this company recently started practicing a policy where their customer service department [-] not help you login into your online banking account, furthermore you [-] be told to wait up to 24 hours before login, plus if you [-] not have a working phone their banking system [-] not verify you, so again you are denied [-] to your account. I know other banking institutions have systems in place that [-] [-] who you are weather or not you have a working phone. I think Fifth Third Bank has become a fifth third lessor than other banking institutions. They are a little slower than other banking companies in [-] opinion.
I have been trying to get [-] 2031 mortgage statement for 7 months from this bank. Each person is more incompetent than [-] next. I have already closed [-] account and [-] be going up [-] ladder with names. 9 phone calls!!!

Why after 30 some years, of keeping a 6 figure plus balance in your bank, I am being charged for a normal size safety deposit box. In [-] past [-] branch manager at your Amherst, [-] location has always waved any charge for [-] box as a courtesy for keeping balances in your bank.

I was appalled to find out that Fifth Third Bank contributed over $10,000 to [-] Chabot's recent campaign. I went to withdrawal money out and I gave him [-] ID [-] [-] it [-]’t look like [-], then turn around and ask where did [-] money come from in [-] account. I tried to buy a piece of furniture via phone purchase at [-] store. I tried to use [-] debit card for [-] purchase. [-] card was declined because it triggered a fraud alert. Why does it take 4 phone calls and time to get this issue resolved? Why [-] your service reps feel that they cannot help [-] is [-] acceptable answer?
They accepted [-] 395.00 for a refinance [-]. After 85 days they asked for all [-] needed documents again, for [-] third time. No way could [-] [-] be completed by 90 days of locked in rate. I asked for a refund of 395.00 and they denied it. Complete ineptness.
Their customer service is horrible and been having login [-] for 3 months and their IT [-] cannot figured 8t out and [-] not respond to [-] cancerns

Up to 2 days before closing we were still waiting for our ctc through no fault of ours! We have excellent credit score and supplied all paperwork requested immediately to him! After changing it to 11/5/20 we had no choice but to change to a last minute mover that cost us $500 more than before and also had to pay another month rental fee for our PID storage unit of $195! We are senior citizens in our 70’s and this is a lot of money which was caused by [-] and 5/3 Bank! We had our previous mortgage with 5/3 for many years and as a loyal customer we stayed with them for our current [-]!! BIG MISTAKE!! We [-] not recommend using 5/3 Bank for your loans or mortgages! It was [-] worst experience for buying our [-] house that it could be! We regret staying with 5/3 Bank for our [-] mortgage and would not recommend to anyone looking for a good lender! TERRIBLE WAIT TIMES!!! Called because they were supposed to send [-] a [-] debit card 2 MONTHS AGO and still [-]'t received it. As I am writing this review I have been on hold for 24 minutes and counting. For all [-] fees that this bank charges you would think they could answer calls a lot faster and [-] cards out in a timely manner. Horrible service! I have been trying to get all of [-] accounts visible under one login. Two and a half hours in [-] branch and at least 6 calls into [-] bank yesterday. Why would I want to continue any relationship with 53rd if it too difficult to make all of [-] accounts visible online? All of [-] accounts [-] be closed by [-] end of [-] week.
[-] mortgage department is a train wreck. Another Realtor and I have been have been waiting for over 80 days for them to clear a home [-]. It's supposedly been [-] status on [-] underwriters desk for almost a week. We have 3 individual families who's lives have been on hold for 3 months and 5/3rd keeps dragging their feet. This is unacceptable. Both HER and [-] Brokerage at Coldwell Banker King [-] have been watching this bank fumble.
For [-] last three months, [-] [-] payment has been applied to interest only and they are showing [-] as not making a payment and assessing a late fee. I’ve called twice and it’s still happening. Get you act together!

From a customer service perspective there are people and processes in place to resolve issues, [-] issue required escalating to [-] supervisor but once in their hands they were able to work on it and solve it beyond [-] initial expectations. As for [-] way [-] bank itself goes about [-], I have some doubts they have their customers' best interests in mind given some of [-] random fees and restrictions on [-] account. Overall they seem like a [-] bank and I'll [-] them as [-] option for future banking.
This is [-] second time I have had to deal with your third party FIS for a online [-] [-] pay. If [-] payee doesn't enter [-] amount correctly [-] payment gets denied. Last time I had to call 53rd online every day for 3 months to get [-] money back $5,000 so I could resubmit it to a vender. It happened again last week for $9,000. I [-] not want to wait for [-] money for 3 months, while [-] vendors won't ship [-] stuff. I feel this it a failure in your online backing. It has been a week already and I feel I should have [-] money back in [-] account. No one can help [-] all they say is its being worked on. This part of your online banking needs to be fixed!!!!!

All you are doing is discriminating against [-]. It’s probably due to age and I am single.
I received a call from 5/3rd risk department and they advised [-] they are closing [-] account due to high risk. I asked what is it that’s a high risk besides that I had fraudulent charges on [-] account and that’s all they would tell [-]. Now I know they were reviewing [-] account because of in and out transactions and I didn’t even get a [-] to explain to them that I took time off of work because [-] father was dying from cancer and that [-] atm transactions were odd because I had to put money in [-] bank when I could to pay [-] bills while I was at home taking care of [-] father as [-] was passing. That to [-] shows a lack of compassion for [-] honest working person like myself taking time off of work to take care of [-] dying father whom had cancer and by [-] way was a VETERAN from [-] Marines.
Also they questioned [-] about where I was getting money from because it looked suspicious and o still tried to explain that [-] father was passing so it was money that [-] had put away to make sure his children were taken care of. So 5/3rd decides to close [-] account and tell [-] they [-] not want [-] as a customer anymore because [-] account is a “high risk” mind you I have never had [-] issue with a bank before and never have been questioned like I am a criminal or doing something immorally wrong. Now when I call to check on [-] fraud case that I opened I get treated like I’m nothing to them because [-] account is closed and I have 35 days to get everything out of [-] account otherwise they [-] just close it with [-] opened disputes/fraud case against [-] account. I would never [-] [-] with a bank that does not have any compassion, knowledge of someone personal life, or plainly just telling someone well you are a high risk so we [-]’t want you as a customer. Mind you I am a [-] Manager of a Automotive dealership and they question where [-] money is coming from. So if you are [-] honest worker and [-] take money out of your account or put money in at various ATM I would not use 5/3rd because they [-] just kick you to [-] curb and tell you they [-] not want you as a customer no matter what [-] circumstances are. [-] father passed away as a fighting VETERAN MARINE from cancer on [-] 20th but I guess 5/3rd does not care about Veterans or why someone’s activity on their account [-] look suspicious.

I would not bank with this bank if it was [-] last bank on this earth!!! For a month [-] account has been on a fraud hold and [-] person who was supposed to get in contact with [-] to fix [-] issue so I can pay [-] bills never did!!! No email no phone call no letter nothing and then went on vacation for a week so now as a disabled person I have no [-] to [-] account whatsoever! On top of [-] overdraft fees that I was supposed to be protected from over 20,000 in 6 years that should have went to [-] mortgage payment that they are now coming after [-] for. SO NO [-] NOT [-] [-] WITH THIS BANK BECAUSE THEY ARE LIARS AND [-] TAKE YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE!!! I already connected a lawyer to see if I [-] be able to salvage anything but probably not because big banks always [-] against [-] meek!!!
I am writing about [-] deferment of payments and that this bank is charging interest on [-] deferment which is rediculous. Due to [-] pandemic [-] late fees and interest should not be accruing. [-] deferment was to help out people in need. We are self employed and wouldn't be asking for payment deferment if we could make [-] payments and now [-] be penalized for this.
They are 100% about making money and dont mind sticking it to a customer
On Monday 5/4/2020 I called to have a transaction reversed
They charged [-] $467 for 42 pages they printed for [-] without telling [-] it was going cost that much.
This bank [-] they ordered a [-] card without expressed consent of [-] account holder and now [-] fraudulent person who is getting [-] card [-] be able to embezzle funds.
Ever since MB merger, 53 has been charging [-] excessive fees every [-] they can. Bunch of crooks.
Worst banking experiences I've ever had! Customer service is clueless and gives out incorrect information. I've had to make many calls and [-] getting different information.
Fifth Third, [-] bank claiming to be a 5/3 "better", has [-] absolute worst Customer Service group that I have ever worked with. Based on [-] experience with them today, I have come to [-] conclusion that Niedra, [-], [-] 1M0C3AM are either ignorant, lazy or some combination thereof when it comes to resolving [-] specific issue that I incurred today. These representatives responded to [-] issue stating that they required 3 days to address [-] issue of [-] not being able to [-] [-] account online. [-] in mind that if I were to [-] a [-] account at Fifth Third today, I would have immediate [-] online to [-] information. So, why would I have to wait 3 days to get a response to [-] issued that I experienced today? Because they are simply lazy or ignorant. I called back and spoke with another representative 30 minutes later. DayShawn was in fact able to resolve [-] issue with a very simple fix. Thanks to DayShawn for thinking and acting like a professional as opposed to [-] attitude of passing [-] [-] and leaving [-] customer helpless without even trying to resolve [-] issue. I [-] be closing [-] account as soon as possible due to this experience.
